Health Care Initiatives

Health Insurance for Family Child Care Providers. In an effort to address the lack of health care benefits for family childcare providers, RI became the first state to implement a program that provides fully-paid coverage to certified, family child care providers and their children. RI, also offers health insurance for center-based child care providers.

Professional Development Opportunities

CHILDSPAN. A training system designed to enhance the professional development of early care and education professionals. The program offers training workshops, mini-courses, seminars, academies and conferences for the early care and education community.

The Child Care Support Network. Provides on-site technical assistance, in-service training, and resources for program enhancement to child care and family care providers.
