Worthy Wage Group. Operating through the Maryland Association for the Education of Young Children (MD AEYC). They usually sponsor a May 1 rally at the Capitol in Washington, DC.

Professional Development Opportunities

Maryland Child Care Credential Program.It is a Statewide training register and professional development program. It does award cash bonuses to recognize professional development and program retention. For more information visit http://www.dhr.state.md.us/cca/creden/

The Maryland Model for School Readiness (MMSR). An innovative approach to training child care providers in the readiness criteria for public school. The training consists of eight six-hour training modules hosted over two years.

Tiered Reimbursement Rates

Maryland pays higher reimbursement rates to child care centers and family child care programs that are accredited by National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC), National School-age Care Alliance (NSACA) and MD State Department of Education.
